Did you know, tazza d'oro means 'cup of gold' in Italian? We are a community driven coffee shop and espresso bar dedicated to serving our customers an exceptional product crafted by professionally trained and certified baristas. We opened our doors in 1999 in the Highland Park neighborhood of Pittsburgh PA, and since then have opened a second location on the campus of Carnegie Mellon University in the Gates Hillman Center for Computer Science. We attribute much of our reputation and success not only to our outstanding staff and dedicated customers, but also to the sourcing, purchasing, and careful preparation of the finest coffee available. Through extensive training and a professional certification program, our baristas have placed td’o as being recognized as one of the best espresso bars in Pittsburgh.
